Discover Seminyak and Legian
Seminyak lies on Bali's west coast, just north of Kuta and Legian, and the three have grown into one long strip of coast. A main road runs parallel to the beach, lined with restaurants, shops and craft and furniture workshops.
Seminyak is the most upscale part of the west coast, with a dense cluster of fine boutiques, chef-led restaurants, spas and private villas, and some of the highest accommodation prices in Bali. Legian, to the south, is busier and more commercial, and its beach is part of the same long sweep of sand.
The coast faces west, so sunset becomes a daily ritual: coloured umbrellas go up on the sand and people gather as the light goes. The surf is strong on many days, so swim between the flags and with care; hotel pools are the calmer choice for children.
Seminyak and Legian suit couples and friends who enjoy shopping, restaurants and a lively evening. Padma Resort Legian, from our collection, sits directly on the beach. We book halal restaurants, or those with halal options, in advance, as they fill quickly in the evening.
