Discover Nusa Dua
Nusa Dua is a resort area on the south-east of the Bukit peninsula, about 22 km from Denpasar. It was built from the 1970s by Indonesia's state tourism development corporation and covers 350 hectares with more than 20 five-star resorts. Its name means two islands, after the two islets in its bay.
The core of Nusa Dua is a gated enclave with security checkpoints, which makes it the calmest and best-organised part of Bali. The beaches are sheltered by reef, so the water is quiet; Geger Beach is good for swimming. At the southern tip, at Water Blow, waves break against limestone and the spray can rise 30 m.
To the north runs the Tanjung Benoa peninsula, Bali's centre for water sports, from parasailing to jet skis. Close by is the Puja Mandala complex, where the Ibnu Batutah Grand Mosque stands beside four other houses of worship; it is the nearest congregational mosque for guests in Nusa Dua.
Five resorts from our collection are here: Ayodya Resort Bali, with its children's club and family pool; Hilton Bali Resort; The St. Regis Bali, with its butler service; The Apurva Kempinski on the cliff; and Conrad Bali on Tanjung Benoa. It is the ideal base for a family that wants calm, with restaurants and activities close by.
