About Thailand

Thailand, the jewel of South-East Asia, joins natural beauty to a deep culture and a long history. Ayutthaya was the royal capital from 1351; in 1782 the court moved to Bangkok. Golden temples and royal palaces still mark those centuries, alongside lively cities, islands and tropical forest.

Most journeys begin in Bangkok: the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho, and the Chao Phraya River, busy with boats by day and lit at night, then world-class shopping at ICONSIAM and Siam Paragon. A short flight takes you to Phuket, Thailand's largest island, for Phang Nga Bay and the Phi Phi Islands; to Koh Samui for quiet resorts above the sea; or north to Chiang Mai, among green hills and traditional villages.

The seasons need care. The Andaman coast, home to Phuket and Phi Phi, is at its best from November to April. The Gulf of Thailand, home to Koh Samui, is finest from January to August and takes its heaviest rain from October to December. So we choose the island to suit the month you travel, not the other way round.

Whether you want a romantic escape, adventure at sea and in the hills, or slow days on white sand, Togather designs the whole journey: hotels chosen with care, private boats and guides, a list of halal restaurants, and someone to call at any hour.

Questions

Before you go

Why choose Togather for Thailand?

Because we design the journey around you, from first message to flight home:

An itinerary made for you, not a ready-made package.

Hotels and resorts we have chosen with care.

Private boats and guides that balance rest and adventure.

Someone to call at any hour throughout your trip.

When is the best time to visit Thailand?

It depends on the region. The Andaman coast, with Phuket and Phi Phi, is at its best from November to April and wet from May to October. The Gulf of Thailand, with Koh Samui, is finest from January to August and wettest from October to December. Bangkok and Chiang Mai are most pleasant from November to February; we avoid Chiang Mai from February to April, when smoke from farm fires settles over the north. So a Gulf summer holiday suits Koh Samui well.

Do Saudi citizens need a visa for Thailand?

No. Since 15 September 2026 Saudi passport holders may stay visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days (previously 60), and may apply once to extend at an immigration office. Every traveller must also complete the free TDAC digital arrival card online in the three days before arrival. At the time of writing; we confirm before you book.

How long is the flight from Saudi Arabia?

The direct flight from Riyadh to Bangkok takes about 7 hours, flown by Saudia and Riyadh Air; the return is a little longer, about 8 hours. From Jeddah, Saudia's direct flight takes about 7 h 45. From Bangkok, Chiang Mai is about 1 h 10 away, and Koh Samui and Phuket are short domestic flights we arrange for you.

Is Thailand safe for visitors?

Yes, Thailand is generally safe for visitors, with the usual care you would take anywhere. We arrange private transfers and licensed guides, and stay a phone call away throughout.

How long should I stay?

Usually 7 to 10 days: three or four nights in Bangkok, then five or six on an island. If you add Chiang Mai, allow ten days or more.

Is halal food easy to find?

Yes. There are many halal restaurants, especially in Bangkok and Phuket, and certification is overseen by the Central Islamic Council of Thailand. Bangkok even has a fully certified halal dinner cruise. We send you a list of halal restaurants near your hotel and confirm halal options in advance with each hotel and on every boat day.

Is it easy to pray in Thailand?

Yes. Islam has a long presence in Thailand: Bangkok has districts with large Muslim communities, such as Nong Chok, Min Buri and Bang Rak, and Phuket has a sizeable Muslim community. We ask your hotel for a prayer mat and the qibla direction before you arrive, plan each day around prayer times, and note the mosques and prayer rooms along your route.

Is Thailand good for families with children?

Very. Phuket's resorts have family rooms, children's activities and menus; Bangkok has SEA LIFE and KidZania at Siam Paragon; Chiang Mai has its elephant sanctuaries. We choose connecting rooms or family suites, and plan sea days on calm days with private boats suited to young children.

How do you protect our privacy?

We arrange meet-and-assist at the aircraft door and private cars, private boats and yachts for days at sea, guides who are yours alone, and visits to the sights at their quietest hours. If you would like a more secluded beach, we choose a resort away from the busy ones.
