Rafting on the Ayung river

About 2 hours on the water; half a day with the drive
All year; the water is higher and faster in the wet season

The Ayung, at 68.5 km Bali's longest river, runs from the mountains of Kintamani to the sea at Sanur, passing through a forested valley west of Ubud. The rafting section has about 33 rapids of class II and III, a level suited to beginners and families, with a guide in every boat.

We choose an operator known for its safety standards and arrange a raft for your family alone. At the end there is a place to change and a light lunch before the drive back.

Good to know

  • Each operator sets a minimum age for children; we confirm it in advance
  • A long flight of steps leads up out of the valley at the end
