Half a Day in Malé

About 3 hours
All year

Malé is one of the smallest and most crowded capitals, yet it keeps the country's history. We begin at the Old Friday Mosque, Hukuru Miskiy, completed in 1658 from carved coral blocks, then the fish market as the boats bring in the tuna, the local market across the road, and finish at the King Salman Mosque, the largest in the Maldives.

It fits an arrival or departure day with time between flights, and we can time it so you pray the noon or afternoon prayer in one of its mosques.

Good to know

  • Modest dress in the city and the mosques
  • We plan the tour around the prayer times
