Old Dubai and the Creek

Half a day
November to March, in the morning or towards sunset

Take to the water on Dubai Creek, where the old city still feels close. Begin in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, with its wind towers and narrow lanes, cross the Creek by wooden abra, and visit Al Shindagha Museum for the story of the Creek, the city and the pearl divers.

End in the Gold and Spice Souks of Deira. We arrange a private guide from the city, an abra of your own if you wish, and dinner aboard a traditional dhow on the Creek.

Good to know

  • Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are best
  • The souks are quiet around midday
