A journey for those who put the sea first. It begins in South Ari, at LUX* South Ari Atoll, on the edge of the protected area where whale sharks live all year, with lunch at Ithaa beneath the sea at nearby Rangali.
You then travel south to Laamu, an atoll shared by just two resorts, to snorkel with the scientists of Six Senses Laamu over protected seagrass where green turtles graze, and to try the waves between March and October.
Day 1
Met at Velana airport, then a daytime transfer to LUX* South Ari Atoll. An overwater villa and a quiet evening.
Day 2
A private early-morning trip into the protected area with a guide, to swim alongside the whale sharks.
Day 3
A boat to Conrad Rangali for a four-course lunch at Ithaa, five metres down, followed by a tour of the resort.
Day 4
Diving or snorkelling on the reefs of South Ari, or a day of rest on the beach.
Day 5
Back to Malé, then a domestic flight of under an hour to Kadhdhoo and a short boat ride to Six Senses Laamu.
Day 6
Snorkelling with the scientists of the Maldives Underwater Initiative over the seagrass, getting to know the green turtles.
Day 7
Between March and October, a surf session for experienced surfers, or a sunset dolphin cruise.
Day 8
The spa in the morning, and a final private dinner on the beach.
Day 9
A boat to Kadhdhoo and a domestic flight to Malé, and we see you onto your flight home.
