Red Square and the Kremlin
Красная площадь и Московский Кремль
Red Square runs some 330 m along the Kremlin wall; in old Russian, krasnaya meant "beautiful". At its southern end stands Saint Basil's Cathedral, built under Ivan the Terrible between 1555 and 1561; at the northern end the State Historical Museum; along the eastern side, GUM.
Behind the wall lies the Kremlin, with its cathedrals, the Armoury and the Diamond Fund. We arrange both with a private Arabic-speaking guide and tickets booked in advance.
