Singapore Botanic Gardens
The gardens cover 82 hectares in Tanglin and were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015. Inside are the National Orchid Garden, with more than 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids, a stretch of rainforest older than the city's founding in 1819, and the white bandstand among the trees. They open from 5 am to midnight, free except for the Orchid Garden; early morning is the loveliest time.
