Ikan bakar simply means grilled fish. It is marinated in local herbs, spices and sweet soy sauce, cooked over the fire and served with rice, sambal and lime. It is at its best on the sand at Jimbaran, where you choose your fish from the day's catch and it is grilled over coconut husks as the sun sets over the bay.
