Octopus curry

Cari ourite comes from the fishing villages of Mauritius: octopus cooked until tender in a sauce of tomato, garlic, turmeric, curry leaves and chilli, served with rice and pickles. It is at its best in fishing villages such as Souillac and Mahébourg.
