Блины
Light pancakes close to a French crêpe, dating back to the Middle Ages and often made with a yeasted batter of buckwheat or wheat flour and milk. They belong above all to Maslenitsa, the week in which Russians see off the winter, and are served with smetana, butter, honey or jam, or at their finest with red and black caviar.
Halal dining can be arranged at every hotel we recommend; tell us your preferences and we brief the chefs before you arrive.
