A Balinese cooking class with halal ingredients
About 4 hours with the market visit
Mornings all year; a good choice on rainy days
The class usually begins at a morning market to choose vegetables and spices, then moves to an open kitchen among the fields, where you grind a bumbu paste of shallots, garlic, galangal, turmeric, ginger, lemongrass and chilli in a stone mortar. Bali's best-known dishes are built on it.
We agree with the school in advance that all meat is halal and that fish and chicken replace any traditional pork dishes. It is a good morning for families and can be arranged privately for you alone.
Good to know
- Tell us about any food allergy in advance
