Wellness, the Thai way

Traditional Thai massage, on UNESCO's list of intangible heritage since 2019, and treatments drawn from natural herbs. On a beach or in the heart of Bangkok.

Thailand

The experience

Thailand is known the world over for wellness and spas, where old Thai thinking meets modern comfort. At its heart is traditional Thai massage, nuad Thai, which joins pressure on the body's points with assisted, yoga-like stretches; UNESCO added it to the list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity in December 2019.

The craft is rooted in Wat Pho in Bangkok, where in the 19th century, under King Rama III, scholars carved their knowledge of medicine and massage on stone tablets that still stand, and where a school has since trained more than 200,000 therapists who work in 145 countries.

We arrange your treatments where you stay: in your resort's spa on a Phuket beach, in Bangkok's riverside hotels, or in the quiet centres of Chiang Mai. You choose between traditional massage and treatments with oils and aromatic herbs; we request a female or male therapist as you prefer, and a private room for two if you wish.

We suggest giving half a day to it after a long day at sea or in Bangkok's shops: there are few better ways to end a day in Thailand.
