About AVANI+ Fares Maldives Resort
A former coconut plantation in Baa Atoll, close to one of the world's largest manta ray gatherings. Beach and over-water villas, a beach club, and the first children-only restaurant in the Maldives.
Baa Atoll, by Hanifaru Bay
Fares sits in Baa Atoll, a few minutes from Hanifaru Bay, where one of the largest manta ray gatherings on earth takes place and which forms part of the atoll's UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
The island was once an abandoned coconut plantation. Today it is thick with green: tall palms, soft white sand and clear turquoise water, a setting that suits doing a lot or nothing at all.
It works for children, for couples and for groups of friends alike. Cocktails arrive at your villa on a floating dhoni, the reef is full of life, and dinner on the beach can turn into barefoot dancing to a DJ under the stars.
The villas and suites are bright and well designed, and the food is full of flavour.

Dining
At the table
The kitchens take their cue from the wana mola, the traditional Maldivian grinding stone used to blend fresh spices into a balance of taste, texture and scent. Ingredients are organic, local and responsibly sourced, and the resident chefs come from all over the world.
