A private island in Raa Atoll

Maamunagau is a private island at the southern tip of Raa Atoll, with open views of the ocean in every direction. It suits couples, families and friends equally. The island is ringed by a natural reef full of marine life and there is a manta ray sanctuary close by. When you land at Velana International Airport in Malé, the resort's team meets you.

Club InterContinental for everyone

This was the first InterContinental resort to give every guest the full Club InterContinental experience: breakfast à la carte, a tiered afternoon tea and refreshments throughout the day, all included.

For families

Larger families and groups can take two- or three-bedroom residences on the beach, over the water or by the lagoon, with extras such as a private chef.

On the water

With so many shades of blue around the island, it is hard to stay out of the sea. The water-sports centre has free snorkelling gear and non-motorised craft, and motorised options including jet skis, Jet X Blade, e-foils, parasailing, surfing, water-skiing and more.

The chefs here are inventive: Mediterranean cooking at The Lighthouse, Asian flavours built on the day's seafood elsewhere, and something different at every meal.
