JW Marriott Maldives sits on the edge of the turquoise lagoon of Shaviyani Atoll, in the far north of the country. Its villas, over the water and on the beach, come with private pools and terraces facing the Indian Ocean. Dining moves between Japanese, Italian and international kitchens, with a restaurant up in the trees and a generous breakfast buffet.
