About Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives

A playful, stylish resort in Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, with 125 villas on the beach, the lagoon or over the water, 79 of them with private pools. Hanifaru Bay, where you can swim with manta rays and whale sharks, is 30 minutes away by boat.

All the space you need

Sit with your feet in the sand and get ready for a culinary tour of several kitchens. Welcome to Finolhu, a tropical island that mixes a playful mood with experiences worth the journey. From your water or beach villa, plan the day as you please, slow or full of energy. Whatever kind of happiness you came for, you will find it here.

Build your own package: choose every detail before you fly, so the holiday starts the moment you land. All-inclusive or free to roam the restaurants, the choice is yours.

The weekly programme: sport, movie nights, live shows and themed parties keep the week moving.

Three shades of blue

Since it opened in 2016, Finolhu has become one of the best-known resorts in the Maldives. Its name means sandbank in Dhivehi, and it is known for white beaches that run for two kilometres across four islands, in an easy, understated style.

There are 125 private villas, four restaurants and a long list of activities that make the most of the setting. Every day is different, like the reefs of Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Underwater, a wide reef system is full of life, and the house reef is easy to reach and safe even for beginners. On land, you can wander the tropical gardens of the main island, cross the sandbank to catch the sunset, or take a drink on the beach at Crab Shack.

For more adventure there are water sports, boat trips and diving, and a 30-minute boat ride to Hanifaru Bay to swim with manta rays and whale sharks. From the milky blue of the lagoon to the turquoise shallows and the deep blue beyond, Finolhu is a place of three blues.

Stay and unwind

Living by the sea, with its blues in view every day, does something to you. All 125 villas sit on the beach, on the lagoon or out over the water, and 79 have private pools.

The London designers at Muza Lab brought the colours of nature indoors with real verve. Each villa pairs fine furniture with a high degree of privacy, and you can sleep, lounge and shower in the open air.
